DECORATED MALAYSIAN PLAYER NICHOLAS FUNG SIGNS WITH P4M GOLF

Queen’s Cup and Asian Tour winner Nicholas Fung has joined P4M Golf Management as he prepares for a new golf season.

With more than 19 Professional victories to his credit, Fung’s 2020 season was thrown into turmoil following the suspension of the Asian Tour in March due to Covid-19. Despite the uncertainty of a restart, the golfing hiatus proved a blessing in disguise as Fung welcomed the arrival of his daughter Hannah in August. Ever since, the newly minted father has based himself in Dubai to work on his game and a return to competitive golf.

Upon signing with P4M Golf, Fung commented “I am really excited to join P4M Golf. This year has been difficult without tournaments to play and the P4M team have offered incredible support. Their knowledge and expertise are invaluable and I’m looking forward to returning to tournament golf with their assistance”.

Fung rose to prominence after claiming the Order of Merit title on the Asian Development Tour in 2013. His OOM win a fitting conclusion to a year that included 4 professional victories. A prolific winner on the PGM, Fung demonstrated the depth of his talent earning a maiden Asian Tour victory at the 2017 Queens Cup following several runner-up finishes.

Marc Potter, CEO of P4M Golf stated “We are excited to have Nicholas join P4M Golf, his unwavering dedication and enthusiasm for the game is second to none. His is an inspiration to Malaysian golf, winning across multiple tours, representing Team Asia 3 times in The EurAsia Cup as well as his native Malaysia at the World Cup of Golf. We are thrilled to be working with him”.

Fung’s stellar play throughout his career has bestowed victories in Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand and Malaysia and whilst the Asian Tour is yet to announce full details of a 2021 schedule, Fung looks forward to competing as a father amid a continued global schedule.
