MARC POTTER TO LEAD WORLD OF LEADING GOLF
ZUG, SWITZERLAND – 22nd January 2019 – Luxury golf brand, World of Leading Golf AG (WLG), has today announced the appointment of Marc Potter as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Mr Potter, who has been working with Mr Claus Feldt for WLG during the past year, now succeeds Mr Feldt, who stepped down on the 31st of December 2018 from the position of CEO to pursue other professional challenges, having successfully developed the WLG brand.
Mr Marc Potter is a well-regarded golf industry professional and will bring more than 20 years of global golf management and development experience including senior appointments with Troon Golf and Leisurecorp to the CEO position. Mr Potter will commence in January and report directly to the company’s main shareholders.
Commenting on his appointment Mr Potter said “I’m incredibly excited to join World of Leading Golf as Chief Executive Officer. I have over the past 9 months become involved with the WLG business and seen first-hand the numerous benefits bestowed to golf venues. From Australia, Mr Potter graduated with a Bachelor Business (Hospitality Management) before commencing his career in high profile private clubs, Barwon Heads and The Australian. He moved internationally in 2001 with Troon Golf opening several luxurious properties before joining the Dubai Government owned, Leisurecorp where he oversaw the group’s various leisure operations. Involved in the management and development of the some of the world’s foremost golfing venues, including Jumeriah Golf Estates, Turnberry and The Grove, Mr Potter has developed his skills and knowledge across 5 continents encompassing a myriad of countries and cultures.
Marc Potter is based in Sweden, from where he will work and travel across Europe and beyond for WLG.
