A playoff victory on home soil saw Malaysian star Nicholas Fung finish his 2022 season off in style, claiming the PGM Danau Championship.

Trailing by 1 shot heading into the final round at Danau Golf Club, Fung birdied holes 9 and 10 to move into a share of the lead at 5 under. After a tight back 9 and with three players tied for the lead heading down the final hole, it was just two players, Fakhrul Akmal and Fung, needing to go extra holes. The playoff, however, was short lived with Nicholas rolling in an 8 footer for birdie on the 1st playoff hole to secure victory.

 

The win is Fung’s third title on the Professional Tour of Malaysia in 2022.
